A career employee, he joined Pioneer in April 1975. He became Executive Officer in June 2003, Managing Executive Officer in June 2007 and Managing Director in June 2008. He became Representative Director and President in November that year, 33 years after joining.

Losses continued in the FY ended March 2010 with an operating loss of ¥17.5 billion, but in the FY ended March 2011 the company returned to profit with operating income of ¥15.8 billion and net income of ¥10.3 billion. On the capital side, Sharp became the largest shareholder with 9.19% in the FY ended March 2010, and in the FY ended March 2015 Mitsubishi Electric with 7.49% and NTT DOCOMO with 6.92% ranked near the top. In the FY ended March 2018, his final year, net sales were ¥365.4 billion, operating income ¥1.2 billion and the ordinary loss ¥3.1 billion.
