He joined the company in May 1999 and rose to the board a year later, in June 2000. It was three years and eleven months from joining to becoming President; though an internal appointment, his was not a career that reached the top after many years inside the company. After his return, net sales reached ¥93.2 billion with operating profit of ¥18.9 billion in FY ended March 2022, and ¥95.0 billion and ¥16.8 billion in FY ended March 2023, nearly three times the scale of FY ended March 2006.
