Background
He joined the company in April 1993 and became Executive Officer and deputy head of overseas operations in April 2011. From December 2014 he was seconded to TSUGAMI PRECISION ENGINEERING INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in India. After returning, he oversaw domestic sales as Co-COO from April 2019 and became a supervising executive in June 2022. It was 30 years from joining to becoming President.

In June 2023 he succeeded Naomi Nishijima as President. His predecessor had served as President for about 19 years over two terms since taking office in 2003. In the fiscal year before he took over, ended March 2023, consolidated net sales were ¥95.0 billion and operating profit ¥16.8 billion, continuing the high levels of ¥93.2 billion and ¥18.9 billion the year before. He took office 12 years after becoming an Executive Officer and a year after becoming a supervising executive.
Initiatives
After he took office, consolidated net sales fell to ¥83.9 billion in FY ended March 2024, then grew two years running to ¥107.4 billion in FY ended March 2025 and ¥129.1 billion in FY ended March 2026. Operating profit also rose over those two years to ¥23.3 billion and ¥36.1 billion, exceeding the ¥16.8 billion of the year before he took office. Four months after becoming President, in October 2023, he also took charge of the plant division, and in June 2024 oversaw the technology and production divisions as head of the Nagaoka plant.
