Background
He joined Daiwa Securities in April 2003 and moved to OGI Capital Partners in April 2009. He joined AIFUL in March 2011, after eight years outside the company. Three months after joining, in June 2011, he became an Executive Officer, and the following June, in 2012, a Director and Executive Officer. As of FY ended March 2026 he was the second-largest shareholder with a personal stake of 12.99%, behind AMG, the largest at 19.79%.
Selection
In June 2020 he succeeded Yoshitaka Fukuda as Representative Director and President. He returned to the parent after serving as president of two group companies, Businext from April 2014 and Astrai Servicer from April 2016. A year before taking office, in June 2019, he became Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, gaining representative authority first. In the fiscal year before he took over, ended March 2020, consolidated ordinary profit was ¥1.7 billion, down from ¥4.1 billion the year before.
Initiatives
In his first year, FY ended March 2021, consolidated net sales were ¥127.5 billion and ordinary profit ¥19.3 billion, a recovery from ¥1.7 billion the year before. By FY ended March 2025 net sales had grown to ¥189.1 billion, ordinary profit to ¥26.8 billion and net income to ¥22.5 billion. In April 2026 the company moved to a pure holding company structure under Muninova Holdings, replacing the AIFUL listing that had continued since its Tokyo Stock Exchange debut in October 1998.
