Selection
In January 2019 he became COO and President while Masaaki Tsuya remained CEO and Chairman of the Board. In the fiscal year before he took office, ended December 2018, revenue was ¥3,650.1 billion, operating income ¥402.7 billion and net income ¥291.6 billion, with 143,509 employees. The acquisition of U.S.-based Pep Boys, announced in October 2015, had been abandoned after a competing offer from investor Carl Icahn.
