Background
He joined Cosmo Oil in April 1988. He became head of the Supply Department in June 2015, Executive Officer and head of Corporate Planning at Cosmo Energy Holdings in April 2018, Managing Executive Officer in April 2020 and Director and Managing Executive Officer that June. Moving from supply to corporate planning, he spent all 35 years from joining within Cosmo Oil and its holding company before becoming President.

In FY ended March 2025 revenue reached ¥2,799.9 billion, the highest since he took office, but operating income fell to ¥128.2 billion and net income to ¥57.7 billion.
