Background

He joined Amada in April 1989 and moved to Park24 in November 1993. He became a Director in January 1994, two months after joining, Managing Director in January 1998, and Representative Director and President in January 2004. Among major shareholders in the fiscal year ended October 2005, the year after he took office, the top holder, Senju Ltd., held 14.94%, Kiyoshi Nishikawa 7.13%, he himself 4.49% and Isao Nishikawa 3.21%, so three of the top ten were Nishikawas.

He became Representative Director and President in January 2004. In the fiscal year before he took office, ended October 2003, non-consolidated revenue was ¥42.5 billion and net income ¥3.2 billion, both up from ¥36.6 billion and ¥2.2 billion the previous year. In his first year, FY ended October 2004, revenue grew further to ¥48.9 billion and net income to ¥4.3 billion. He was promoted after six years as Managing Director, and the change was not a response to deteriorating results.

Initiatives

In March 2009 the company acquired Mazda Rent-a-Car and entered the mobility business, and that same month he also became Representative Director and Chairman of Times Mobility. In 2017 it acquired the five-country business of Australia's SECURE PARKING and Britain's NCP, building an overseas parking business. Non-consolidated revenue grew from ¥42.5 billion in the year before he took office to ¥55.4 billion in the fiscal year ended October 2005, and consolidated revenue expanded to ¥179.7 billion in FY ended October 2015 and ¥406.2 billion in FY ended October 2025. The company posted an operating loss of ¥8.0 billion in FY ended October 2021 amid the pandemic, but operating income was ¥37.6 billion in FY ended October 2025.
