Background
In November 1995 he was marketing manager of Win System Europe at Win System, and in September 1996 he joined Taiyo Holdings. From 2001 he led local subsidiaries in Singapore and Thailand, and in July 2010 he became head of the Overseas Sales Department. He became Representative Director, President and CEO of Taiyo Ink Products in 2015 and of Korea Taiyo Ink in 2016, and from 2020 served as chairman of group companies in Taiwan and China. His career moved from one overseas base to another.

In June 2025 he became Representative Director, President and Group CEO, succeeding Eiji Sato. He had become a Director in June 2016 and Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer the following July, then CEO of the Electronics Company in May 2022 and Representative Director and Executive Vice President that June. In the fiscal year before he took office, ended March 2025, revenue was ¥119.0 billion and operating income ¥22.1 billion, up for two straight years from ¥97.3 billion and ¥16.0 billion in FY ended March 2023.
Initiatives
In his first year, the fiscal year ended March 2026, revenue was ¥137.9 billion, operating income ¥32.5 billion and net income ¥24.0 billion, all above the previous year. At the end of that year the largest shareholder was DIC with 20.02%, followed by The Master Trust Bank of Japan with 11.13% and Kowa with 6.30%. He has been in office for one year, and no decision that can be written up as a policy initiative has yet come to light.
