Background
A career employee, he joined Mitsubishi Gas Chemical in April 1975. He became an Executive Officer in June 2006, 31 years after joining. He became Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2009 and Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer in June 2012, and took office as President in June 2013. After stepping down as President he remained with the company as Representative Director and Chairman from April 2019 and as a Director from April 2025.
