Selection

He became Representative Director and President of Nissin Foods in June 1985, 12 years after joining in July 1973. He then served as president for 41 years through the FY ended March 2026.

Initiatives

In 2006, countering a hostile tender offer by Steel Partners, he moved to acquire Myojo Foods, making it a subsidiary the following year, 2007. In October 2008 the company moved to a holding company structure and changed its name to Nissin Foods Holdings. Consolidated net sales grew from ¥321.7 billion in the FY ended March 2006 to ¥788.1 billion in the FY ended March 2026, and operating income from ¥32.0 billion to ¥62.3 billion.
