Background
He joined Kagome in April 1990. He became head of the planning and coordination office of the Asia business company in November 2013 and its CFO in March 2014, moving to head of the planning and administration office of the international business division in April 2016. From November 2021 he headed both the corporate planning office and the U.S. growth strategy project office. He advanced to Executive Officer in April 2022, Director and Executive Officer in March 2024, and Director and Managing Executive Officer in March 2025. His career has run through overseas business and corporate planning.

On January 1, 2026, he succeeded Satoshi Yamaguchi as Representative Director and President, with Yamaguchi moving to Chairman the same day. In the fiscal year ended December 2025, the year before he took office, revenue was ¥294.3 billion and operating income ¥22.6 billion, down in both from ¥306.9 billion and ¥36.2 billion the previous year.
