He joined House Foods in March 1969. Initiatives
The company set up House Foods Holding USA Inc. in the U.S. in April 2003 and Shanghai House Foods in January 2004, and in June 2004 launched a company in Shanghai to run CoCo Ichibanya curry restaurants. In Japan it launched "Ukon no Chikara" in May 2004, acquired all shares of Asaoka Spice in October 2004, and made House Wellness Foods a subsidiary in April 2006. Consolidated net sales moved from ¥189.2 billion in the FY ended March 2002 to ¥222.5 billion in the FY ended March 2009, and ordinary income from ¥8.2 billion to ¥11.0 billion.
