She became general manager in the international division of Suntory Liquors in April 2009, Executive Officer and deputy head of the international division in April 2010, and manager of Suntory Holdings' London branch in January 2011. She became head of global human resources at Suntory Holdings in September 2015 and Executive Officer and head of the human resource development division in April 2016, moving back and forth between overseas business and human resources. She became CEO of Orangina Suntory France (now Suntory Beverage & Food France) in January 2020 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in January 2023.

Education: Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Faculty of Foreign Studies, Portuguese and Brazilian Studies (1982)

Selection

In March 2023 she succeeded Kazuhiro Saito as Representative Director and President. Just before, she had been CEO of Orangina Suntory France and Managing Executive Officer of Suntory Holdings. In the fiscal year ended December 2022, the year before she took office, consolidated revenue was ¥1,450.4 billion and operating income ¥139.7 billion. As of March 23, 2026, the board consisted of four men and four women. The appointment appears to have matched a background spanning local management in Europe and human resources to a business mix with a high overseas share.

Initiatives

In April 2024 the vending machine operator sales business of Suntory Foods was transferred to Suntory Beverage Solution through an absorption-type company split, consolidating the vending machine business in one company. The company decided to change its trade name to Suntory Beverage & Food Limited in April 2026. Consolidated revenue grew from ¥1,591.7 billion in the FY ended December 2023, her first year, to ¥1,715.4 billion in the FY ended December 2025, and operating income from ¥141.7 billion to ¥148.7 billion.
