Background
He joined Shimizu Corporation in April 1984. After 33 years he became an Executive Officer in April 2017, Managing Executive Officer in April 2021 and Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2023. He became Executive Vice President and Executive Officer in April 2024 and Representative Director and Executive Vice President that June, and rose from there to President. He is a career employee with no experience at other companies who served as branch manager in Tokyo, Yokohama and Nagoya and as an office head and head of the building headquarters, working at both branches and headquarters.

Consolidated results recovered in the fiscal year ended March 2025 to net sales of ¥1,944.3 billion, operating profit of ¥71.0 billion and net income of ¥66.0 billion, and in FY ended March 2026 net sales were ¥2,057.8 billion, operating profit ¥118.7 billion and net income ¥126.6 billion. Given his short time in office, the measures traceable in the annual securities reports are limited to results for these two years.
