Background
He joined Fuji Bank in July 1971, became Director and General Manager of the Head Office Public Sector Department in June 1998, and in August 2000, as Managing Executive Officer, headed both the Public and Financial Institutions Group and the Settlement and Technology Group. In April 2002 he moved to Mizuho Bank as a corporate auditor, and in March 2003 became Managing Director of Tokyo Tatemono in charge of the Public Relations and IR Office, the Accounting Department, the Information Systems Department and the Appraisal Department, also serving as General Manager of Accounting. In March 2006 he became Representative Director, Senior Managing Director and head of the Building Business Division, taking charge of the office leasing operations.

For the fiscal year ended December 2011, consolidated results showed revenue of ¥166.9 billion, an operating loss of ¥0.7 billion and a net loss of ¥71.7 billion, a reversal from net income of ¥6.3 billion the year before. In February 2012, just after that year closed, he became Representative Director and President, succeeding Makoto Hatanaka. He had become Representative Director and Executive Vice President in March 2010 and, from June that year, as assistant to the President, oversaw the Compliance Department, Secretarial Office, Personnel Department and General Affairs Department; he took the top job two years after leaving the Building Business Division.
Initiatives
In March 2013 he also took charge of the Overseas Business Division while remaining President, and in February 2014 Tokyo Tatemono Asia Pte. Ltd. began operations in Singapore. In September 2014 Tokyo Tatemono Senior Life Support began operations, and in July 2015 the company made Tokyo Tatemono Real Estate Sales, listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, a wholly owned subsidiary through a share exchange. Consolidated revenue rose from ¥194.1 billion in the fiscal year ended December 2012 to ¥254.4 billion in the fiscal year ended December 2016, and the workforce grew from 2,183 to 3,566.
