Background
He started a business as a sole-proprietor electronic components dealer in February 1968 and in September that year founded Kaga Electronics, becoming its Representative Director and President. He served as President for 38 years until stepping down in 2006, and became Representative Director and Chairman in April 2007. After leaving the presidency he took on further outside posts, becoming an outside director of ITbook Holdings (now SAAF Holdings) in June 2021 and of Solekia in June 2024.

He was the first President and had no predecessor. He incorporated the business seven months after starting it as a sole proprietorship in February 1968 and became Representative Director and President when the company was founded. He served as President for 38 years and handed over to Ryoichi Kado in 2006. He carried the company alone through the 18 years from founding to over-the-counter registration and listing on the TSE Second Section, without any manager brought in from outside. The annual securities report does not state when he stepped down; the date is an estimate based on when his successor took office.
Initiatives
The company achieved over-the-counter registration in 1985 and listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange the following year, 1986. It took 17 years from incorporation to going public. In the 1990s it set up local subsidiaries one after another across Asia, expanding its overseas bases. In the fiscal year ended March 2006, his final year, non-consolidated net sales were ¥257.8 billion, operating profit ¥8.2 billion and net income ¥7.3 billion; the business he started as a sole proprietor had become a trading company of some ¥250 billion in scale.
