Background
A career employee who joined the company in April 1980, he became General Manager of the Business Aggregation Division in April 2002 and an Executive Officer in June of that year. After becoming Director and Managing Executive Officer in June 2005, he left the board in June 2007 to become Senior Managing Executive Officer, and returned to the board in June 2011 as Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer. He became President 36 years after joining.

The appointment appears to have been about continuing his predecessor's course rather than handling a crisis.

After falling to ¥24.6 billion in the FY ended March 2021 it grew again, and in the FY ended March 2024, his last year, net sales were ¥370.1 billion and operating income ¥33.3 billion, up 30% in sales and 2.7 times in operating income from the ¥278.0 billion and ¥12.5 billion of the year before he took office. In April 2022 the company changed its name from Nihon Unisys to BIPROGY.
