Background
He joined Marubeni in April 1977 and moved to Tadano in June 1988. He headed the President's Office from June 1991, became President of Faun GmbH (now Tadano Faun GmbH) in January 1997 and a Director of the parent company that June. He advanced to Managing Executive Officer in April 1999, Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2001 and Representative Director in April 2002.

He became Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2002 and Representative Director and President the following June, in 2003. The promotion came 15 years after he joined Tadano and six years after he became a Director in June 1997. FY ended March 2021, his final year, also brought an operating loss of ¥4.2 billion and a net loss of ¥13.0 billion, so the company posted full-year losses twice in his 18 years in office.
