He joined Toa Nenryo Kogyo in April 1988 and moved to Citibank in February 2001. He joined Terumo in January 2002 and became an Executive Officer 12 years later, in April 2014. He became a Managing Executive Officer in April 2018 and a Senior Managing Executive Officer in April 2022, and was named President and CEO 22 years after joining mid-career.
