Background
He joined Yaoko Shoten, a limited company, as General Manager of Sales in January 1969. When the store was reorganized into Yaoko Co., Ltd. in March 1974, he became a Director. In the fiscal year ended March 2006, the largest shareholder was Kawano Shoji at 15.63%, followed by Kiyomi Kawano at 7.51%, Yukio Kawano at 4.80% and the Kawano Pediatric Medical Scholarship Foundation at 4.75%.
