Background
In 1999 he handled global marketing in the diabetes field at Hoechst Marion Roussel, then moved to Novartis Pharma in 2005, Genzyme in 2007 and Vifor Pharma in 2014. He joined Kyowa Kirin in March 2018 as EVP of Kyowa Kirin International and became that company's President in April 2019. In January 2023 he moved to Managing Executive Officer in charge of overseas business, and in March 2025 he became Representative Director, President and COO.

Net income rose from ¥59.8 billion to ¥67.0 billion. Only a year and a half has passed since he took office, and there are still few facts that can be written up as initiatives of his tenure.
