Background

NS Solutions is a consolidated subsidiary 63.43% owned by Nippon Steel, and his path from joining the parent through secondment and transfer to the presidency follows the capital lineage.
Selection
In April 2023 he succeeded Hiroyuki Morita as president. In the fiscal year ended March 2023, the year before he took office, net sales were ¥291.7 billion and operating income ¥31.7 billion, up from ¥270.3 billion and ¥29.9 billion the previous year. The change came amid continued growth in sales and profit, not as a crisis appointment.
