Selection

In June 2008 he succeeded founder Yasuhiro Wakebayashi as Representative Director and President, with Wakebayashi moving to Representative Director and Chairman the same month. The promotion came 17 years after joining and two years as Representative Director and Executive Vice President. In the fiscal year ended March 2008, the year before he took office, consolidated net sales were ¥3.4 billion and ordinary profit ¥1.5 billion, and in his first year, FY ended March 2009, sales rose to ¥4.0 billion and ordinary profit to ¥1.7 billion, so the change appears not to have been prompted by deteriorating results.

Initiatives

During his tenure, consolidated net sales grew twelvefold from ¥4.0 billion in FY ended March 2009 to ¥50.3 billion in FY ended March 2026. After reaching ¥40.4 billion in FY ended March 2022, ordinary profit in FY ended March 2023 was ¥15.5 billion, below the previous year's ¥16.9 billion, and in FY ended March 2025 net sales of ¥44.0 billion fell below the previous year's ¥44.1 billion, a turn to declining revenue. In April 2024 he also became Representative Director and Chairman of the core subsidiary Nihon M&A Center, while remaining Representative Director and President of the holding company.
