He joined Tama Home in June 2001. He rose to Executive Officer in June 2005, Director in August 2008, Managing Director in June 2011 and Senior Managing Director in June 2012, then Director and Executive Vice President in December 2013 and Representative Director, Executive Vice President and COO in July 2014. He spent all 17 years from joining to becoming President inside the company. Among major shareholders in the fiscal year ended May 2015, he held 6.21%, second only to founder Yasuhiro Tamaki's 35.46%, with Kazunori Tamaki at 4.52% and Katsuya Tamaki at 3.19% also near the top.

In August 2018 he succeeded founder Yasuhiro Tamaki as President. His predecessor had served as President for 20 years since the company's founding in 1998 and had also been Chairman since April 2011. In the fiscal year ended May 2018, the year before he took office, consolidated sales were ¥167.9 billion, operating profit ¥4.6 billion and net income ¥2.0 billion, following a recovery from net losses in two straight years, FY ended May 2015 and FY ended May 2016. He was promoted after four years as Representative Director, Executive Vice President and COO.

Initiatives

After he took office, consolidated sales grew for five straight years from ¥186.8 billion in FY ended May 2019, reaching ¥256.0 billion in FY ended May 2023 with operating profit of ¥13.2 billion and net income of ¥8.7 billion. In FY ended May 2024 results were roughly flat, with sales of ¥247.7 billion and operating profit of ¥12.5 billion, but in FY ended May 2025 sales fell to ¥200.8 billion, operating profit to ¥4.1 billion and net income to ¥1.4 billion.
