He joined Mitsui High-tec in April 1993, became a Director in April 2000, Managing Director in April 2005 and Representative Director and Executive Vice President in April 2006. From June 2007 he also served as Representative Director and President of Mitsui Create, the company's largest shareholder, with a stake of 26.06% in the fiscal year ended January 2006 and 26.78% in FY ended January 2011 and FY ended January 2015. Consolidated net sales then grew to ¥78.7 billion in FY ended January 2018, ¥139.4 billion in FY ended January 2022 and ¥218.3 billion in FY ended January 2026, 5.8 times the year before he took office. Operating income peaked at ¥22.6 billion in FY ended January 2023 and fell to ¥12.7 billion in FY ended January 2026.
