Background
He joined Ibiden in April 1987. He became an Executive Officer in April 2010, Managing Executive Officer in March 2016 and Corporate Officer in April 2020, adding a Director's seat from June 2022. A career employee, he took 23 years from joining to become an Executive Officer and another 14 years from there to the presidency. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, trust accounts dominated the top of the shareholder list, with The Master Trust Bank of Japan at 22.24% and Custody Bank of Japan at 10.70%; the largest operating company was Toyota Industries at 4.45%, followed by the local Juroku Bank at 1.59% and Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank at 1.54%.

In the fiscal year ended March 2025, his first year, consolidated net sales of ¥369.4 billion and operating income of ¥47.6 billion stayed flat with the previous year, but in FY ended March 2026 net sales grew to ¥416.2 billion, operating income to ¥62.0 billion and net income to ¥63.7 billion. That net income was 2.0 times the ¥31.5 billion of the year before he took office.
