            "text": "1922年4月、小型内燃機関の研究試作を目的として東京・大崎にタカタモーター研究所を開設した。創業は高田氏と樋口氏、山形氏の三氏による小型エンジンの開発研究から始まり、当初は輸入に頼っていた陸海軍向けの無線用電源発動機を手がけた。諸官庁からの研究や試作の依頼を受けながら各種の小型内燃機関を製造し、1927年には三氏の頭文字をとったTHYモーターカーを製作して純国産の優良車として表彰された。"

            "text": "研究所は高田氏の姓をそのまま社名に冠し、1925年5月にタカタモーター企業社へ改称した。1932年10月には個人経営を株式会社へ改組し、資本金50万円のタカタモーター製作として品川区東大崎に事務所を新設したが、このとき社長に就任したのは武井銀次郎氏だった。1939年5月には資本金を150万円へ増やし、社名を東京発動機へ改めた。"

            "text": "陸海軍協同管理工場の指定を受けたのは1935年で、同じ年に海軍艦政本部への納入も始まった。その前段として、1928年から翌年にかけて陸軍技術本部の命令で野戦用の発動発電機を試作しており、優良品と認められてからは軍へ多く納めていた。工場は大崎では手狭になり、1937年12月に板橋区志村の志村工場へ移った。1943年には長野県岡谷市に岡谷工場を新たに設け、戦時中は無線用と照明用の電源となる可搬発動発電機や、軌道用のモーターカーをつくった。終戦後は1945年12月、漁船用と照明用の発動機から生産を再び始めた。"
