          "text": "初代社長は朝日新聞社出身の美土路昌一氏で、日本企業要覧は1961年版まで美土路氏を社長として載せ、1962年版から岡崎嘉平太氏に替わる。会社は1958年3月に極東航空を合併し、1961年6月に東京・大阪証券取引所の市場第二部へ上場して機材導入の資金を確保したところだった。1961年3月期の大株主は日本航空19.5%・名古屋鉄道7.2%で、出資する側から社長を迎えるのではなく創立以来の副社長を昇格させている。"

          "text": "1963年11月に藤田航空を吸収合併し、1965年3月にボーイング727型機を導入して幹線の輸送力を増やした。1966年3月期の売上高は170億円・経常利益4億円だったが、翌1967年3月期は売上高163億円・経常損失18億円・当期純損失17億円へ転じ、退任はこの赤字期と重なる。在任中の1964年3月には日中綜合貿易連絡協議会の会長に就任し、社外で日中の貿易交渉にあたった。"
