            "text": "1925年11月23日、東京に生まれた。1944年に現在の芝浦工業大学の前身校を卒業して応召し、シベリアに抑留されたのち1949年に復員した。1958年11月に不動産会社の坂内商事へ入り、建売住宅の営業でつねに社内の首位に立った。1960年、課長だった横山氏は部下を連れて独立し、大京商事を興した。技術者を志した経歴を持ちながら、経営者としての出発点は不動産の売り手だった。"

            "text": "独立した大京商事はまず不動産の仲介を手がけ、渋谷や千葉で小規模な建売住宅も扱った。東京オリンピックを控えた好況のもとで那須高原の別荘地分譲が当たり、これが後の資金の基礎になった。1964年12月、東京都文京区に大京観光を設立した。前任のいない創業社長だったが、当たった別荘地の分譲そのものは2年ほどで切り上げている。"

            "text": "1968年2月にマンションの分譲を開始し、「ライオンズマンション」の名で首都圏に供給を広げた。中堅サラリーマンが買える価格帯に的を絞って戸数を積み上げ、1978年には事業主別のマンション供給戸数で不動産業界の首位に立った。売上高は1975年9月期の283億円から1984年9月期の2252億円へ伸びた。1982年9月に東京証券取引所市場第二部へ上場し、1984年3月に第一部へ指定された。1987年10月には商号を大京観光から大京へ改めた。"
