          "text": "1929年に東京帝国大学法学部法律学科を出て秀英舎へ入社した。1943年に常務取締役、1945年に専務取締役へ進み、1948年からは教育出版の代表取締役社長を兼ねた。当時専務だった青木弘氏の三男で、日本興業銀行への入行を志して果たせず印刷会社へ入り、営業の現場から昇った。社長就任に先立つ1951年6月には、専務として再建五カ年計画を全社へ発表し、全従業員の投票で支持を得ている。"

          "text": "一つの主力事業だけに頼る危うさを避けて複数の収益源を立てる方針を掲げ、1951年開設の大崎工場を足がかりに、米国視察で着目した紙器・包装印刷へ進出した。1957年には通商産業省主導のカラーテレビ国産化にシャドーマスクで加わり、翌1958年に国内初の量産を実現、1959年には半導体用フォトマスクへ広げた。1966年に中央研究所を完成させ、応用研究を体系化した。単体売上は就任期の1955年5月期37億円から、1979年5月期の3,739億円まで伸びた。"
