            "text": "1956年10月、母の茂理満氏とともに兵庫県姫路市で宮詣り衣装と出産準備品を扱う「赤ちゃんの西松屋株式会社」を設立した。資本金は110万円だった。1965年10月に子供服の販売を事業目的へ加え、姫路市紺屋町に出店して本部事務所も移した。株式は持ち続け、1999年11月の上場時の大株主に代表取締役社長として名を連ね、2006年2月期の大株主にも6.05%を保有する個人として残った。"

            "text": "前任はいない。創業から社長を務め、1997年7月の日本証券業協会への店頭登録と、1999年11月の東京証券取引所・大阪証券取引所市場第二部への上場を、代表取締役社長として通した。2000年5月、1996年5月から代表取締役副社長だった大村禎史氏へ社長を譲った。社長在任は44年に及び、以後は名誉会長を務めている。"

            "text": "1979年10月に姫路市で駐車場付きの郊外型店舗を出店し、1990年11月には兵庫県神崎郡福崎町へ初の郡部立地店を出した。売場作業を本部と配送センターへ移し、店舗は店長1人とパート・アルバイト5〜6人で回す形にした。標準店を200〜250坪とし、販促タレントと接客販売をやめ、売場面積の拡大で売上を伸ばす計画を採った。1989年12月にPOSシステムと汎用コンピュータを導入して単品管理へ移り、1999年11月の上場時には店舗数が129店に達した。"
