            "text": "1935年に勤めていた風雲堂を退社し、次兄の福田正氏が設立した福田電機製作所で心電計の設計と製造を教わった。1939年7月に独立して福田特殊医療電気製作所を興したが、戦時下の資材難で休業し、1945年3月の東京大空襲で自宅を焼かれて郷里の千葉県印旛郡へ疎開した。休業のときに実家へ移しておいた心電計の主要部品約100台分を元手に、同年秋、文京区湯島新花町へ戻って建坪15坪ほどのトタン張りの家を建て、製造を再開した。1955年頃までは設計も製造も販売も自ら執っていた。"

            "text": "初代社長である。事業資金を求めて日本興業銀行を訪ねたところ、融資対象は株式会社以上だという理由で断られた。福田孝氏は引き返してすぐ株式会社にすると決め、1948年7月6日に資本金60万円で株式会社福田電機製作所を設立し、代表取締役社長に就任した。ほかの役員は妻順子氏の兄である安藤孝吉氏と長兄の福田瀞氏が務めた。設立時の従業員は11名だった。翌1949年9月、興銀中小企業部が設備資金100万円の融資を決めている。"

            "text": "慶応義塾大学医学部の笹本浩氏が米国から持ち帰った熱ペン直記式心電計を手本に、1951年8月に国産で初めて同方式の製造に成功した。波形の再現性が低く普及しなかったため改良を重ね、1953年に電源を内蔵した機種で本格生産に入った。売り方も自社で抱え、1962年7月の福田エレクトロ近畿販売を皮切りに全国へ販売会社を設立した。1969年10月には実弟の福田統治氏が率いるフクダ医療電機と対等合併し、フクダ電子が発足した。1985年に長男の福田孝太郎氏へ社長を譲った。",
