            "text": "上村長兵衞商店は1848年に大阪道修町で薬種商として創業し、1914年にめっき資材の直輸入商社へ転じていた。旧姓を倉橋重平といい、1916年にこの商店へ入った。輸入研摩剤の品質と価格に満足せず、宮林ニッケル鍍金所の宮林操三氏の協力と米国ロックウエルライム社の原料で研究に入り、1918年に国産化して大阪堺でトリポリの製造を開始した。1927年には特許第74097号を得て、輸入品のグリンルージを安価に置き換えた。特許の申請は生涯で27件に及んだ。"

            "text": "1930年11月に6代長兵衞を襲名し、翌12月に資本総額26万円の匿名組合を設立した。同じ1930年に4代上村長兵衞が逝去しており、4代は大阪製薬（後の大日本製薬）の社長に就任していた。1933年12月に株式会社上村長兵衞商店へ改組し、初代社長となった。研摩剤の国産化と特許を持ち込んだ技術者が、薬種商から出た商いの本体を引き継いだ交代だったとみられる。"

            "text": "1957年に本社へ薬品部を置き、仕入れて売るだけだっためっき薬品の自社製造に入り、1958年に光沢ニッケル剤アサヒライトを出した。1960年には機械事業部を設けて表面処理機械の製作に入り、研摩剤・薬品・機械の三本が揃った。1961年6月には手狭になった淀川工場の移転先として枚方市に用地17,420㎡を取得し、退任後に建つ中央研究所の下地を置いた。売上高は1966年11月期に20億8300万円となった。1967年5月の株主総会で会長へ退き、上村晃史専務取締役が社長に就任した。",
