            "text": "1951年1月20日、大阪府枚方市に生まれた。同志社香里高校から同志社大学経済学部へ進み、1973年3月に卒業した。同年4月に婦人服専門店の鈴屋へ入社し、開発事業部門で東京の店舗企画を5年担当したのち大阪へ戻り、京都店の店長を務めた。1983年、生まれ育った枚方で蔦屋書店を開店した。金融でも製造でもなく、衣料専門店の店舗企画から出発した経歴である。"

            "text": "1985年9月、大阪府吹田市垂水町にビデオレンタルのフランチャイズ本部としてカルチュア・コンビニエンス・クラブを設立し、社長に就任した。1996年10月にいったん代表取締役会長へ就任している。1995年9月に出資して参入した衛星放送では日本のディレクTVの社長を務めたが、1997年12月に始めた放送の加入者は25万件にとどまり、1999年2月に同社の社長を退任した。2か月後の1999年4月、カルチュア・コンビニエンス・クラブの社長へ復帰した。"

            "text": "1993年にCD、1994年に書籍のフランチャイズ展開を始め、TSUTAYAをビデオレンタル以外へ広げた。1993年7月に発行を始めた会員証は、2003年3月の新日本石油とのポイント提携を経て、2006年10月に「Tカード」へ改称し、同月からカメラのキタムラでも発行した。2000年4月に東証マザーズへ上場したが、2011年3月、自身が社長を務めるMMホールディングスの公開買付けが成立し、上場から11年で非上場になった。同期の連結売上高は1699億円だった。",
