      "text": "1997年4月22日、徳壽クリエイティブサービスの全額出資により、地ビールの製造販売を営む株式会社ヨコスカ・ブルーイング・カンパニーが神奈川県横須賀市に設立された。初代の代表取締役社長は後藤仁史氏である。ビールは会社に残らなかった。1999年4月に本店を東京都渋谷区へ移して商号をクリエイト・レストランツへ改め、翌5月、徳壽から洋食レストラン5店舗の営業譲渡を受けてレストラン事業を開始する。2000年6月にはオリエント・レストランツからも5店舗を譲り受けた。店をゼロから起こすのではなく、よそが育てた店を引き取る入り方は、この2年で決まっている。"

      "text": "客を自ら集めず、客の集まる施設の内側に店を置いてきた。2000年1月に三菱商事が資本参加し、同年7月には御殿場プレミアムアウトレット内へフードコートを出店する。以後は郊外ショッピングセンターと都市型商業施設に店を並べ、施設ごとに業態と屋号を替えるマルチブランド・マルチロケーションを掲げて2005年9月に東証マザーズへ上場した。2012年には三菱商事の全保有株式を公開買付けで取得し、12年続いた資本関係を解消している。翌2013年4月には海鮮居酒屋\"磯丸水産\"を都心繁華街で運営するSFPダイニングを65億円で子会社化し、初めて路面へ出た。施設の集客に相乗りする設計は出店の費用を軽くした一方、施設が閉まれば全店が閉まる構えでもあった。"

      "text": "商業施設の中にあった店の割合を、10年で78%から50%へ下げた。2021年2月期は多くの店舗が休業し、売上収益は前期の1,393億円から744億円へ半減して142億円の営業損失を計上した。立地別店舗数に占める商業施設の比率は2012年2月期末の78.4%から2023年2月期末の50.5%へ下がり、駅前・繁華街が20.5%、ロードサイドが13.5%を占めた。2026年2月期の売上収益は1,654億円とコロナ前を上回り、営業利益79億円、当期利益47億円を計上している。ただし営業利益は前期の85億円から減り、居酒屋と海外の2カテゴリーが伸びを止めた。2026年4月には子会社SFPホールディングスとの合併契約を締結し、路面へ出る足がかりだった会社を自社へ取り込むと決めている。"

      "text": "争っているのは客ではなく、商業施設に空く区画のほうである。同じ多ブランドでも、すかいらーくホールディングスは1992年に[客単価760円の\"ガスト\"へ全店を転換し](/tse/3197/decisions/gusto-conversion-1992/)、現在は3,000店規模を一つの運営基準で回している。クリエイト・レストランツ・ホールディングスは逆に、買収した屋号をそのまま残した。和食も洋食も麺もベーカリーも持てば、施設側は同じ館内の複数区画を一社へ任せられる。半面、2020年2月期は総店舗数1,149店に対し営業利益が34億円にとどまり、屋号を増やすほど1店あたりの利益は薄くなった。2024年1月にJA全農と包括業務提携を締結し、店を自ら作らず運営だけを請け負うコントラクトを全国へ広げている。区画を取り合う競争は、投資を伴わない受託の側へ移ってきた。"
