          "text": "竹岸政則氏は1910年2月、富山県氷見市加納町の中農の家に生まれた。富山県立氷見農林学校から麻布獣医畜産学校へ進み、1928年3月の卒業と同時に岩崎輝弥が経営する子安農園立川養豚場へ研究生として入った。養豚を奨励するだけでは農村は栄えないと考えて流通へ回り、横浜の大木商会、名古屋の愛禽ハム、大阪の大村商会でハムの加工技術と取引を覚えた。1931年9月1日、金沢駅前の田丸町に間口2間の二階家を借り、兄弟と少年2人を加えた総勢5名で竹岸ハム商会を始めた。"

          "text": "1941年7月に獣医将校として召集されて満州へ渡り、留守の竹岸ハムは1946年3月、高岡工場を富山県農業会の畜産物加工工場として再開した。持株制度を敷くことが、会社を株式会社にした狙いだった。同年7月にビルマから復員した竹岸氏はすぐさま工場の指揮に当たり、1947年秋には農業会から離れて自力の経営へ戻した。1948年7月、富山県高岡市に資本金100万円で竹岸畜産工業を設け、個人の経営を株式会社に切り替えて社長の座に就いた。社員にはのれんを分ける代わりに勤めた年数に見合う株を配り、その第1回の払込みは竹岸氏が自分で引き受けた。"

          "text": "豚枝肉の相場は3〜4年の周期で1キロ200円から450円まで動く。原料を自分で握るため、大消費地ではなく産地へ工場を置いた。1957年10月に北海道工場、1960年4月に鹿児島工場を操業させ、鹿児島には5億円を投じた。1960年4月に株式を店頭公開し、1962年8月に東証第一部へ移った。1965年2月に伊藤忠商事と組んで冷凍肉専用運搬船プリマ丸を押さえ、5月に商号をプリマハムへ改めた。売上高は1957年3月期の8億円から1974年3月期の925億円へ伸び、筆頭株主は1966年3月期に伊藤忠商事へ替わった。"
